Description
The Apple Dental Root Canal File Extractor System, an essential tool exclusively available for skilled dentists within hospital and dental clinic settings. This advanced device has been meticulously designed to address the intricate task of removing broken root canal files and foreign objects from within the root canal during root canal treatments. With utmost precision and safety in mind, this system seamlessly integrates with microscopes, allowing dentists to operate with unparalleled accuracy. By gently pushing the handle’s end, the cap aligns effortlessly with the clamping sleeve, facilitating the clamping and removal of broken files or foreign debris from the root canal space.
A notable feature of this system is its adjustable clamping angle. The accompanying bending wrench empowers dentists to modify the clamping sleeve’s angle, catering to the unique position of the affected tooth. Ranging from the factory-set 45 degrees, this angle can be fine-tuned up to 90 degrees, ensuring optimal access and extraction efficacy.
The Apple Dental Root Canal File Extractor System emphasizes practicality and cost-efficiency by being reusable. Supplied in a non-sterile condition, it enables dental professionals to implement their prescribed sterilization procedures before each use, maintaining a rigorous standard of hygiene.
The process of using this system begins with careful dentin removal using a G drill until the broken file is approached. Further steps involve selecting suitable guide drills for continuing the dentin removal process, followed by utilizing flat drills to smooth the file channel. Reverse grinding file removal is achieved using the annular cannula, effectively exposing the file by eliminating surrounding dentin. This is particularly important in curved root canals, where a guide drill may be employed for precision.
The subsequent clamping sleeve installation is specific to the dimensions of the broken file. With the broken file securely positioned in the casing window, the press cap is pushed forward, resulting in a firm clamping action by the sleeve. To ensure successful extraction, Lock B is rotated as indicated, maintaining pressure on the clamping sleeve. The broken file is then extracted smoothly and with care.
The Apple Dental Root Canal File Extractor System is accompanied by a range of accessory specifications, including guide drills in various sizes (T-8 Black, T-9 White, T-11 Red, T-6 Blue, T-7 Green), flat drills (F-6 Red, F-9 Green, F-11 Yellow), and circular cutting tubes (H-8 Red, H-9 Green, H-11 Yellow). These accessories further enhance the system’s versatility and effectiveness.

Direction to Use
Initial Preparation:
- Begin by assessing the root canal and broken file’s location using appropriate imaging techniques.
- Use a G drill to delicately remove dentin until the drill’s tip is in close proximity to or in contact with the broken root canal file.
Guide Drill Selection and Dentin Removal:
- Select a guide drill of suitable size based on the broken file’s dimensions: T-8 Black (80.02), T-9 White (90.02), T-11 Red (110.01), T-6 Blue (60.04), T-7 Green (70.03).
- Continue removing dentin around the broken file using the chosen guide drill.
Dentin Channel Smoothing:
- Once dentin removal is complete, select an appropriate flat drill: F-6 Red (∅0.9), F-9 Green (∅1.0), F-11 Yellow (∅1.2).
- Smooth the file channel at a low recommended speed (160r/min).
Reverse Grinding File Removal:
- Use the annular cannula to carefully eliminate dentin around the file using reverse motion at a low speed.
- In curved root canals, where the annular casing might not penetrate deeply, use a guide drill (60-70 gauge) to eliminate dentin around the file positively.
Clamping Sleeve Installation:
- Select and install the appropriate clamping sleeve based on the dimensions of the broken file.
File Encapsulation:
- Position the broken file within the casing window to prepare for clamping.
Clamping Process:
- Push the press cap forward gently to initiate the clamping action of the sleeve around the broken file.
Extraction:
- Rotate Lock B in the direction indicated by the arrow on the device. This will securely hold the clamping sleeve in place.
- Press the clamping sleeve firmly while ensuring the press cap is securely held.
- Gradually and carefully pull out the broken file from the root canal.
Sterilization:
- After successful extraction, thoroughly sterilize the device before the next use, following standard sterilization protocols.
